Marc Anderson, BGSTalktoCanada.com General ManagerMarc envisioned TalktoCanada.com in early 2006 after reading a newspaper article about students using Vo-IP on Skype to improve their spoken English. Marc has a bachelor of general studies with a focus in business. In his spare time, he likes to travel and experience new cultures and languages. Jillian Zavitz BA, TESOLTalktoCanada.com Programs ManagerJillian started working with TTC in 2008 not knowing what to expect – as online teaching was a fairly new concept to her. But after her first lesson (a mail order bride), she knew that this was the job for her. She was quickly promoted to Programs Manager (Human Resources + a little bit of everything) and is very much involved in securing new contracts and coming up with marketing ideas. Jillian holds a degree in International Development with a focus on Latin American history and Spanish. She has also completed a TESOL certification with specializations in business English, grammar, and teaching children. For the past 7 years, she has had the opportunity to teach English to a variety of clients – both in person and most recently online. A typical day for her starts with students from Saudi Arabia where she then virtually globe trots to South Korea, Spain, Brazil, Iraq and finishes her day with China. It’s a great way to share cultures – and at the same time teach English. |
